Marianna Band, originally “Marianna and Contraband,” was established in Chicago, USA in 1991.

The founding members were Marianna Dzis and Janusz Kozera.
In support of Marianna’s initiation was husband Mieczyslaw (Mitch) Dzis. For the next 16 years, the core trio remained while other musicians added their respective talents along the way.

At this time, the band performs with Mieczyslaw Dzis on keyboards, clarinet, accordion, tenor saxophone, and vocals, Janusz Kozera on bass and vocals, Abi Lopez on violin, keyboards, guitar, and vocals, Andrzej Pawlowski on percussion and vocals, and guest performer Marlena Dzis on vocals. Complete hosting, management, and preparation is organized by Marianna Dzis.
